Peer Support Services
Peer Support Groups & One-to-One Support
Our Services
All of our services are based on the peer support model. Peer support is a form of assistance and emotional support provided by individuals who have also experienced the loss of a loved one – we are the bereaved helping the bereaved. At Bereaved Families of Ontario Southwest, this support can come from staff, practicum students, or volunteers who understand the grieving process firsthand and can offer empathy, shared experiences, and coping strategies. All our grief programming is free of charge.
Please note we do not provide clinical services (counselling, therapy) or crisis support.
